Television and Motion Picture Director. He started his career in TV pioneering a creative approach to televised sports with close-up shots of cheerleaders and pretty girls in the stands. He directed the first ever "Wide World of Sports" for ABC and won an Emmy Award for directing the 1969 Summer Olympics. As ABC's sports director, he covered hundreds of special program events and won seven Emmy awards for his work in the field. He also directed dramatic television such as "Kojak" and "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries." In the 1970s, he expanded into film and formed Malibu Bay Films with his wife. From the 1980s to 1990s, he made many pop cult movies specializing in action flicks featuring gun-toting Playboy Playmates. His titles included "Savage Beach"(1989), "Do or Die"(1991), "Fit to Kill"(1993) and "Day of the Warrior"(1996). He is also the author of the 2003, best seller "Bullets, Bombs, and Babes: The Films of Andy Sidaris". He died of cancer.
