Irma Anna Figg, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt passed away peacefully holding hands with her son on August 29th, 2017. Born in Straubing Germany on September 9th, 1932 she grew up in her hometown during World War II and then immigrated to the United States when she married the love of her life Herbert. She and Herb returned to reside in Germany several times during his military career and settled in Colorado Springs when Herb retired.

An avid swimmer, Irma adored the outdoors and the warm rays of sunshine and cherished tending to and enjoying her flower garden. She loved the beach and made trips to Virginia, San Diego, and two trips to Hawaii to enjoy the sand and the sunsets. She took great pleasure in the simple things life has to offer.

Family brought her great joy and her sweet smile and kind heart brought them and many friends close to her. She touched many hearts, was a wonderful role model, and always offered great advice. She had a gift for always having the right thing to say.

Irma was preceded in death by her husband Herb.

She is survived by her devoted son Steven, son Robert, nephews Cornell and Gary, grandchildren Julie, Fallon and Joseph, several great-grandchildren and numerous friends and neighbors.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, September 6th, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs. A mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Thursday, September 7th, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Dr. Interment will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery beside her beloved husband.
