Harold worked his entire life on the family farm known as Fox Brothers which operated a dairy and produced tomatoes and grain. He served on the Friendship Finley Cemetery Committee and taught Sunday School and Bible Study. In his later years he enjoyed mowing the farm properties, watching the Phillies, sharing fresh produce with family and friends, and reading and sharing his books. He also enjoyed the company of many devoted friends including the Ag boys from high school and nothing made him happier than spending time with “his girls” and his family.
He was a strong and devoted father and in his later years a beloved friend to “his girls”, Patty Gaburo and husband Morris, Dianne Garrison and husband Roger, and Suzanne Abdill and husband Edward; grandchildren, Andrew Garrison and wife Sara, Matthew Garrison, Sara Dorrell and husband Bryan, Nathan Garrison, Jordan Gaburo and fiance Jessica, Jared Gaburo, Janna Gaburo, Edward Abdill, Andrew Abdill, and Shannon Abdill and fiance Mike; great grandchildren Emma and Olivia Garrison, and Colton Dorrell. He was predeceased by his sweetheart of 67 years Martha, his son, Harold H. Fox, Jr., his sister Doris Schnee, and his brothers Glendon and Kenneth Fox.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township, September 11th at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Friendship Finley Methodist Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday evening, September 10th from 4 to 7 PM and on Monday morning from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Harold’s memory be made to the Friendship Finley Cemetery Fund, c/o James Garton, 246 Center Road, Elmer, NJ 08318.
