Services for Sara Lou Mays Kelley, age 84, of Tyler, Texas will be held at 10am at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 with Reverend Don Barron officiating.

Her interment will follow in Memorial Park in Jasper, Texas at 3pm.

Sara passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017.

Sara Lou Mays Kelley was born to the late Virgil and Lucille Crews Mays on August 6, 1933 in Jasper, Texas.

She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1955 and while there was voted "SMU Beauty" by her peers. She was a successful real estate agent for 41 years beginning with Helen Campbell and then with Daugherty Real Estate retiring in 2015. Mrs. Kelley was a member of "Women's Council of Realtors", AAUW, Zeta Tau Alpha and the "Women's Symphony League".

Sara Lou Kelley was very loved by her friends and family and as a dear friend stated with gentle humor, " Sara's funeral may be the first occasion where she will be on time..."

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Roach Johnson and grandson, Luke D. Nolte both of Richardson, Texas along with several friends who will miss her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Shauna Roach Green.

Honorary pallbearers are Luke D. Nolte, Kent Castagno, Cody Castagno, Case Castagno, Kyle DeShazo and Will DeShazo.
