David Hilton Edmondson, 72, of 975 Main Street went home to be with his Lord Saturday, September 2, 2017. A native of Sylacauga, Alabama and a home place in Rogersville, TN, he was the son of the late David H. Edmondson, Jr. and Ida Pauline Crowley Brand and the husband of Sharon Edmondson for 47 years. He was a member of Jackson Baptist Church and served his country as a Policeman in the Air Force and later the Wellford community as a volunteer patrol officer for many years. He was a pipe fitter and welder in his early years known as Tiny, Red Man, Bama and Big Dave.

He was known as “Daddy” to his daughter Crystal Edmondson and son Paul David Edmondson; “Papa” to the light of his life Abby Doane; “Uncle Ed” to nieces Angie Ravan (Tony) Bonnie Bradley, Missy Bradley, Jenny Libby (Wade), Jessy Wilson (Brad); nephews, Jake Gibson, and Tim Gibson (Katie); and great nieces and nephews and a host of others adopted by heart. He was predeceased by his sister, Janice Bount.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday at Stribling Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday at The Stribling Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens.
