John was born July 26, 1966 in Sherman to Bob and Nettie (Floyd) Pritchett. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1984 and after attending Grayson College, worked as an appraiser. He was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church. John was an avid sports fan, following all sports, but especially hockey, golf and the Texas Rangers. He loved his dog, Nails (who already misses him) with all his heart. John had an infectious personality that always drew people to him. His quick wit, one-liners, and hilarious sayings always brought laughter and joy to his friends. Even through his illness, he kept a positive outlook on life and didn’t want anyone feeling sad or sorry for him.
John is survived by his mother, Nettie; brother, Andy; daughter, Lydia Inboden and her husband Eric; granddaughter, Emma; stepdaughter, Sloan Lewis; five aunts and one uncle, all from Mississippi; and his girlfriend, Kristi; and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob in January 2016.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Tammy Avants and Brad Nass for being such great friends through John’s illness, and to his girlfriend, Kristi for staying by his side through it all.
