Stephen was born March 2nd, 1954, in Claremore, Oklahoma. Stephen lived with his family in Tulsa where he was a member of Fairhill and Immanuel Baptist Church. After he graduated Tulsa McLain High School in 1972, he studied at Northeastern State University before graduating from Tulsa University. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of law and became a lifelong Sooner.

Stephen practiced law with his cousin, Gary R. Morris, at the Morris Law Firm in Midwest City, for over 35 years.

In 1997, Stephen Converted to Catholicism and joined the St Philips Neri Catholic Church where he sang in the choir and was an assistant cantor.

Stephen became the loving father to Christopher Dixon in December, 2005.

Stephen was a lover of the Arts. He supported local musicians and enjoyed all types of music: opera, jazz, symphonic, Broadway and folk. He loved to travel to New York to visit the museums and attend concerts and shows.

He loved to read history and biographies and was well known for his knowledge in these areas. He was an excellent photographer and singer.

Stephen died on August 31st, 2017. He reluctantly left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father, leaving his one and only son, Chris, much earlier than he would have wanted.

He was preceded in Death by his parents, Pearl and Floyd Dixon.

Stephen is survived by his Son, Christopher Dixon, his Brother, David Dixon, his uncle, Curtis Dixon, and his cousins: Gary, Trish, Glenda and Rick Morris; and Kent, Sherry, Mark and Clark Dixon. He will be missed by his family, church, law community, many friends and most of all by his son, Chris.
