Actor. Born in Bedford, Indiana, he appeared in 111 films between 1917 and 1951. He made his big screen debut in "49-17" (1917), followed by "The Scarlet Car" (1917). Noted for his roles as villains, his credits include "The Three Musketeers" (1921), "Tom Sawyer" (1930), "Back in the Saddle" (1941), "Joan of Arc" (1948) and "Father's little Dividend" (1951). He died at age 82 in los Angeles, California.
