JOHN KINKER DEAD
John Herman Klinker, 76, wealthy farmer of Cheney died Monday following an illness of four months. He was born in Germany and came to Cheney 26 years ago from Iowa. He is survived by the following children: Fred, Henry, Dora, Emma, Mrs. Freda Hillman, Mrs. Anna Rippee and Mrs. Ida Holley. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church Wednesday at 2 p.m. Wulf's Mortuary of Garden Plain was in charge.

Obituary of John Herman Klinker
John Herman Klinker died at his home s-e of Cheney, Monday, June 13th at the age of 76 years. He was born Dec. 27, 1855 at Eitzendorf, Germany. He came to American in 1880 and was married in 1885 to Miss Dorothea Uppendahl of Cheney. They made their home at Paulina, Iowa for 24 years, moving from there to Cheney, where they have resided since.
Mr. Klinker was one of the wealthiest and largest land owners in this community.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church. The funeral services were held from that church on last Wednesday afternoon and the body laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery; The funeral sermon was given by Rev. Oscar Kaiser, pastor of the church.
The deceased is survived by one sister, Katherine of Eitzendorf, Germany; two brothers, William Klinker of Hampton, Nebraska and Fred Klinker of Eizendorf, Germany; his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Geo. Hillman, Mrs. Herbert Rippe, Mrs. Lee Holley, Misses Dora and Emma Klinker.
The pall bearers were old neighbors and friends of the deceased. They were: Emil Lorenz, Herman Krenzel, John Koester, George Thalman, John Rosenhagen and Otto Guetschow.
Relatives and friends from out of the community to attend the funeral were: Wm. Klinker, Hamton, Nebr; Mrs. Otto Faustman, York, Nebr; Mrs. Herman Fenster; Hampton, Nebr; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Uppendahl and Mrs. and Msr. Geo. Ehmke, of Dighton, Ks.
