George Elsworth Cremeans Sr., age 82, of Groveport, died Friday, September 1, 2017 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born January 23, 1935 in Yorkville, OH to the late John and Gladys Cremeans. George was a graduate of Magnetic Springs High School and a 1958 graduate of The Ohio State University. He worked for 37 years as a chemist for Battelle; where he had contributed to several patents. After retirement he worked as a ranger at the Ohio State Golf Course. He enjoyed many different activities from golfing and bowling to fishing and poker. George was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and would never miss a game. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by his brother, Ted Cremeans. George is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Thelma J. Cremeans; children, Angela (Jon) Galloway, George E. (Tresa Mullett) Cremeans Jr.; granddaughter, Grace Galloway; siblings, John (Joyce) Cremeans, Juanita (Robert "Bob") Miller, Doris Jean Cowgill; sister-in-law, Theresa Cremeans; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit 5-8:00 pm on Friday, September 8, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110 where a funeral service, will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 9. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens
