Douglas Clyde Elliott, age 53, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Evansville, Indiana. He was a graduate of Canton South High School and continued his education putting his degree to work as a computer programmer and decoder. Doug was a smart, kind, loving man who loved the ocean. He had a generous heart and a sensitive soul and was greatly loved by many. His greatest loves were his mother and “kids” - dogs, Sam and 2Sam. Doug had an amazing sense of humor. You could always count on a laugh when you were with “Doug E. Fresh”. We love you Doug and you will be missed dearly. – All of us! He was preceded in death by his parents, Donna Jane and Terry Wayne Yerkey. Survived by seven siblings, David Paul Elliott, Danny Donald (Lorraine) Elliott, Dawn Ann (Dave) Westlake, Deanna Rose Coram, Pamela Jean (John) Sams, Kerri Lavinia (Will) Sexton and Todd Brooks Yerkey and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Allan R. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
