Fred Burns age 78 a resident of the White Oak Community of Bradley County passed away Thursday August 31, 2017 at the family residence. He was the son of the late Warren and Lilly Cronan Burns.

Fred was a longtime member of Southview Baptist Church and was retired from Tennessee Department of Transportation Road Department as a supervisor with over 20 years of service. He was previously employed with Magic Chef and was a truck driver for Collins Chair.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Dorothy Burns, his son Edward Burns and his wife Barbara of Old Fort, his daughters Sharon Whaley and her husband Cleve of Cleveland TN., Lisa Jenkins and her husband Billy of Charleston TN., 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren his sisters Peggy Branham and her husband Roger, Helen Bean and her husband Tommy both of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 4pm Sunday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Pastor Rob Works and Rev. Ronnie Ledford officiating. The interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Mitchell Jenkins, Tommy Brown, Bradley Burns, Franklin Whaley, Ryan Blair and Robbie Works serving as pallbearers.
