Surviving are two daughters: Connie (Roger) Davenport, Montezuma, Nancy (Harry) Muhlenkamp, Geneva, IN; three sons: David, Sidney, James (Sherry Daniel), Columbus, and John Hamberg, St. Henry; two sisters: Mary Weisenberger, Savannah, GA, and Alma (Roger) Henry, Dayton; two sisters-in-law: Esther Hess, Montezuma, and Eileen Hess, St. Henry; and eighteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother linked below; four sisters: Irene (Carl) Schoenlein, Mildred (Elmer) Moeller, Rita (Jerry) Didier and Anna (Bobbie) Sawyer; two sisters-in-law: Eleanora (Louis) Zumwald and Alma (Richard) Ruschau; and three brothers-in-law: John and Robert Hess and Robert Weisenberger.
A veteran of the US Air Force, he retired from Reynolds Electric, Lima. He was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Cassella, Men's Sodality of the church, local IBEW #32. He enjoyed gardening and carpentry work.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Cassella. Burial with military rites will follow at the church cemetery.
