PORT ROYAL -- Gilbert Berry, 87, of Port Royal, died Friday, December 27, 2002, at the Homestead Nursing Center in New Castle, KY. He was formerly of Louisville, a retired assembler from Lee Cook Corporation of Louisville after 28 years and a member of the English Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ethel May Berry; brother, Gayle Berry and six half-brothers, Gordon, Grant, Goble, Jack, Vivian and Parker Berry.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Hall Berry of Port Royal; two sons, Gilbert M. and Charles L. Berry, both of Port Royal; five half-sisters, Beulah Marsh of Carrollton, KY, Georgia Lee Towns of Bluffton, IN, Ann Berrier of Louisville, Linda Bates of Worthville, KY and Neppie Berry Baxter of Louisville; two half-brothers, Sherman Berry of Turners Station, KY and Robert Berry of Gas City, IN; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2002, at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home, with interment in Port Royal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Sunday at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the English Christian Church in Carroll County, KY.
