RONALD WAYNE WHITEHEAD

Ronald Wayne Whitehead was born in Holden, Louisiana on February 11, 1932 and passed away August 31, 2017 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 85. Wayne served his country in the US Air Force and worked as a supervisor for the FAA.After retirement he began Wayne's Bass/Pontoon Guide Service. He loved to fish and spent time with his fishing buddies and the coffee shop gang.

Family was very important to him. He was always there for them. He will be greatly missed. He was a proud American and LSU fan.

Mr Whitehead was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Rudolph Whitehead and Ollie Hinson Whitehead; brothers, Willie C. Whitehead, Floyd Whitehead, Joe Whitehead and Arthur Whitehead; sisters, Merle Sprouse and Irene Sprouse.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 61 plus years, Norma Whitehead of Conroe, Texas; daughters, Sharon L. Alford and Fred of Livingston, Texas, Cindy Cappi and husband David of Spring, Texas and Gale Lang and husband Bill of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren: Julie Duston and husband Matt, Amy Ballard, Laci Albanese and husband Dustin, Kari Sprague and husband Jared, Steven Lang and Mark Lang; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Brieann, Brady, Haeleigh, Tyler, Abbigale, Keightlyn, Averie, Emily and Anna. Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 5-8pm.

The funeral service will be in the Cashner Colonial Chapel on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10am with Bro. Fred Alford ministering. Burial will follow in the Garden Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be: Mark Lang, Steven Lang, Bill Lang, David Cappi, Matt Duston, Jared Sprague and Dustin Albanese.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the wonderful doctors and nurses on the Conroe Regional Hospital 1st and 3rd floor who cared for Wayne.
