Phyllis D. Anderson, 88, Brainerd, passed away on Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. She was born June 22, 1920, in Brewster, Neb., to William and Mabel (Eldridge) Simon.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Darleen), John "Bud" (Charlene), Mike (Cindy); nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother, Eldon Simon; and her sister, Betty Lloyd and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Severn; and son, Donald.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd with Pastor Rory Swenson officiating. Interment will be in the Gull River Cemetery, Brainerd. Friends may call on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Brainerd with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
