Bobby spent many years on the Tennessee River musseling for shells. He had also worked at Brown Shoe Company and was a member of Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and most times could be found tinkering on something. Bobby loved spending time with family and friends. He had an outgoing personality and character that drew people in and he seldom met a stranger.
In addition to his mother, Dorothy Prater of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, April Jeanine Doyle Fields and Brennan Paul Doyle, both of Savannah, Tennessee and Bobbie Wren of Corinth, Mississippi; granddaughter, Catharyn Marie Casteel; sister, Judy Smith of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Terry Smith of Jefferson City, Missouri; sister-in-law, Debby Weaver of Jackson, Tennessee; nephews, James H. Doyle of Counce, Tennessee and Joe Hebert of Adamsville, Tennessee; and nieces, Patricia R. Doyle of Nashville, Tennessee and Leslie Rossman of Savannah, Tennessee.
Along with his father and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Don E. Doyle.
