Patrick "Butch" Porter of Hartford Arkansas passed away Tuesday Aug 30 at home in the company of his 2 children. He was 71 years old. Butch was born in Ft. Smith Dec. 13, 1945 To Daniel and Clara Patterson, Porter. He was the youngest, the last , the baby; of the Porter siblings.
He is preceded in death by his parents. A brother, Donald. (Bud) A sister, Vivian (Porter) Sutter.
He is survived by a son, Larry Patrick Porter, of the Dayton Community. And a daughter, Lana Kaye Miller of Hartford. He has 2 grandsons, Patrick Mitchell Porter, and Seth Elijah Brock. And a granddaughter, Tarynne Martin. Also 2 great grandchildren. Audrey and Jayce Martin and one sister Dora Bryan of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Butch was an honest, good hearted, hard working person that always taught his kids and grand kids to do what was right, no matter what. That if you couldn't work for something and earn it the honest way, you just didn't need it. To treat others the way you want others to treat you, even when they don't. He was a strong willed, powerful man who was almost impossible not to like and even harder to forget. His kids take a lot of pride in claiming him as 'Daddy'.
Memorial service will be held 10:00 am Tuesday September 5. 2017 at Abundant Life Fellowship in Huntington at 4205 W. Hwy 252.
His faith was strong in Jesus Christ and without a doubt he knew the strength of the power of His love for Us.
