Dr. H. Boyd Hall, 75, of 4418 Ocean Drive, died Wednesday at his home. He had practiced denistry here 37 years and was active in civil rights work and in the church. Hall was a former head of both the state and local NAACP organizations.

Survivors include his wife, Olivia; a son Dr. Charles Hall of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Dr. H. Boyd Hall, 75, who headed the state NAACP in the crucial years after the 1954 Supreme Court desegregation order, died Wednesday at his home.

Hall practiced dentistry 37 years, but was best known for his work in civil rights. Various groups honored Hall with awards including the first Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award in 1969 and an award this year from the American GI Forum as the foremost black civil rights leader.
