The Heavenly Gates were opened for our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother. June Lenore Ford 93, passed away peacefully in her home in Emmett, Idaho, with her family at her side.
She will be dearly missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is now with her one true love again. June married the love of her life, Willard L. Ford on March 8, 1941. They were married 75 years. To this union 2 children were born, welcomed and loved. Edward and Patricia.
June was born March 10, 1924 in Portland, Oregon to Lewis and Frances Fullerton. She was the 3rd of 11 children born to this union.
With her enormous heart and giving spirit, the phrase "shirt off her back" must have been created to describe her. She worked very hard and loved doing it. There was not a job that June and Willard had that they didn't like. She faced many challenges in her lifetime and met them head on with her fighting spirit. The strength and courage she showed throughout those challenges is the legacy that she leaves behind.
By nature a nurturer and a giver, her greatest pleasure in life was caring for others. Selflessly serving family, friends and anyone in need of a helping hand.
June was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony and did her best to live a worthy life.
June loved to go fishing, camping and boating with her husband and family. She enjoyed working, crocheting and embroidery. She made countless receiving blankets, dollies, quilts and keepsakes. These will be treasured for many generations to come.
June leaves behind a very grateful and loving family and loving legacy. She is survived by her two children, Edward (Jeanie) Ford and Patricia (Gene) Wartman; 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, all her brothers and sisters.
Services and burial will be held at Larkin's Sunset Gardens in Sandy, Utah. Local arrangements were with the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
