Trudy K. Davis, 70, of Bethany, Illinois, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Friday September 1, 2017 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, Illinois.
Trudy was born July 7, 1947 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Dean and Roberta DeWitt Spear. She married Virgil ‘Butch’ Davis on August 5, 1966 in Shelbyville.
Surviving are her husband; son, Shawn (Sheridan) Davis; daughter, Shannon (Chuck) Dilley; brother, Robert D. Spear; grandchildren, Gunnar Davis, Sumner Davis, Connor Weber, Chandler Weber and Cassie Weber and a great-grandson, Hanson Weber.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She had provided day care for many children in her home in Bethany for many years and then worked as a teacher’s aide for almost twenty years at the Sullivan Pre School. Trudy was a member the Bethany First Christian Church and served on the board. She was also a member of the Psi Iota XI Sorority in Bethany for almost 42 years.
