Kay Nelson, 73 of Benton, Kentucky passed away at 6:35AM Friday September 1, 2017 at Calvert City Convalescent Center. Kay formerly worked as a nurse’s aide at Murray Calloway County Hospital. She was a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her son, Robert Allen Nelson; her daughter, Debbie Fuqua and Bobby; granddaughter, Latricia Deverling; and one brother, Mike Penny. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Joe Penny, Mary Kessler, Velma Dee Wilson, Donnie Penny, Robert Penny, Al Penny and Mildred Penny. Her parents were, Albert Penny and Claudine Ford Penny.

Services:  Funeral services 2:00PM Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Bro. George Culp will officiate and burial will follow in the Salyers Cemetery.
Visitation:  Friends may call after 5:00PM Friday, September 2, 2017 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory.
