Joann Marleen Lowe, 79, of Galien, passed away on August 29, 2017 at Lakeland Hospital in Niles. She was born on April 29, 1938 to David Blackney and Marguerite Strong in Battle Creek, MI. Joann is survived by her sons, Randy (Pam) Root, Paul (Renee) Miller, Tim Miller, Rick Miller; daughter, Maggie (Tim) Fouts; 4 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents David Blackney and Marguerite Strong; sisters, Shirley Westvere and Donna Lewis. Funeral service for Joann will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Burial will follow at Galien cemetery. Visitation will be at 12 pm on Thursday.
