Edna H. Pipkin, 90, of Lancaster, PA entered into rest on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Conestoga View where she resided for almost 2 years. She was born in Lancaster, PA, the daughter of the late Frank Z. and Helen (Weit) Richwine.

Edna worked at Lombardo’s Restaurant, Rose Bowl Restaurant, Lancaster Regional Medical Center, and finally at Lancaster Career and Technology Center in Willow Street, PA. She enjoyed Bingo and getting together with her family.

Always known for her great sense of humor, her nickname suited her! She was a “Pip”. She loved people, kids and animals. She always surrounded herself with as many people as possible. As the workers on the 6th floor of Conestoga View very soon realized, she loved attention.

Edna will be lovingly remembered by her children, Deborah A. Pipkin and Robert L. Pipkin, Jr., both of Lancaster; and her sister, Dorothy Nicklaus of Manheim, PA. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Nagley, Grace Groff, Paul Richwine, and Frank Richwine.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred F. Groff Funeral Home, 234 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Conestoga Memorial Park in Lancaster, PA. Donations may be made to the Shelter for Abused Women, 630 Rockland St., Lancaster, PA 17602.
