Vaughn, Nancy Jane Merrick,
89, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Tucson, AZ.
She was a native of Louisville and a graduate of Louisville Girls High School. Nancy was a member of 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for over twenty years for Pettymark at Oxmoor Center, managing the store for over 10 years.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Edmund W Vaughn, Jr., a son, Neil, and a brother, Robert "Bob"Merrick.
Nancy is survived by three daughters, Marcia Richardson (Louis), Kathy Zwanzig (Glenn "Skip"), and Patti Davidson (Mark); five grandchildren, Staci Caufield Johnson (Craig), Christian Graver (Steffi), Stevi Caufield Rehncy (Kuljit), Melissa Mehring Allen (Nathan), and Brandon Davidson (Alex); and four great-grandchildren, Seth, Cole, Luke, and Emmalee. She is also survived by her sister, Maragaret "Peggy" Heck and brother, Ryon Merrick.
A memorial service will be held at Jeffersontown Christian Church, 10631 Taylorsville Road, Jeffersontown, KY on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Crusade for Children.
