She was born in Sandersville, GA to Wray and Mary King and was a member of Calvary Bible Church for the past 50 years. Jewell was an excellent cook who always had personal creative touches to make any ordinary meal become extraordinary! She enjoyed vacations to Chattanooga and Panama City Beach.
Jewell is survived by her two children, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Johnson of Huntsville; parents Wray and Mary of Sandersville, GA; brother Wray Jr “Brother”, Billy of Sandersville, GA; sister Mary Anne of New York, NY, and son Bruce Johnson, Huntsville.
Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5th followed by service at 2:00pm with Jene Sarver officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
