Maj. Joseph A. Boscia of North Kingstown, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at South County Hospital in South Kingstown He was the beloved husband for over 58 years of Marie (Costabile) Boscia.

Born in the Silver Lake section of Providence, Joseph was a son of the late Joseph and Vincenzina (Feula) Boscia. .

Mr. Boscia was an accountant and entrepreneur for many years, before retiring. He was a member of the National Association of Accountants, Knights of Columbus, Johnston Lions, and served as a corporator of Citizens Bank. Joseph also served honorably as an officer in the United States Army and the Rhode Island National Guard, 243rd Military Police Battalion for over 28 years, retiring a Major. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family as a sustaining member of the East Greenwich Yacht Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Joseph A. Boscia, III, MD and his wife Susan of Spartanburg, SC, and Paul N. Boscia, DMD and his wife Heidi of Middletown, RI. Mr. Boscia was the cherished grandfather of Joseph, IV, Paul Nicholas, II, Alyssa, Caroline, Francis, and Isabella. He was the dear brother of Anthony Boscia and his wife Lucille of Saunderstown, Raymond Boscia and his wife Joan of Cranston, Richard Boscia and his wife Angela of Johnston, and the late Carmeno Boscia and his wife Carol of Cranston.

His funeral services will be private.
