Elizabeth Ann Benton passed away at St. Catherine's Village on Thursday, August 30 at age 73. Ann was born in Jackson, Mississippi to Woodrow and Elizabeth Benton on January 11, 1944. She graduated from Belhaven College and later earned an MA from Mississippi College. She taught school in Atlanta, GA and Rankin County for over 30 years. Teaching first graders to read brought her much joy. Ann was a lifetime faithful member of the Brandon Presbyterian Church.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her brother Dr. Wilson Benton and his wife Pam. Also by her nephew Dr. Louis Benton (Damea) of Hattiesburg, her niece Paige Brown (Reagan) of Nashville, TN, and niece Laura Pearson (John) of Lexington, VA, as well as 10 dearly loved grand nieces and nephews and very special first cousins.

After a private grave service on Saturday morning, September 2, 2017 there will be a visitation at the Brandon Presbyterian Church at 10:00 and a memorial service at 11:30. Memorials may be sent to the Brandon Presbyterian Church 209 S College St, Brandon, MS 39042 or Reformed University Fellowship, 1700 N. Brown Rd., Lawrenceville, GA 30043.
