Wife of Robert H. Daughter of James & Sarah Jennings Frisbee Fox.

She is a powerful woman on a mission to serve fellow women, and men. Standing a little over 5 foot tall, she has taken her Fathers medical books and made herself into one of the first country Doctors in west Texas County. She had acquired his books long after his death in 1862, when she was yet a year old. When Eugenia Isabell Frisbee, was of age, she applied herself to learn the art of Herbal healing. She roamed the woods and meadows to build an apothecary of drugs and medicines. Her wares were well received by her primary customers, as she was a midwife helping women far and near. Don't know how she traveled....by horse or buggy, but she delivered over 100 babies and lost only one mother during a time at odds with success. She might have garnered a small income from this effort, all the while raising and self delivering 8 of her own children. She was known to carry a heavy bucket of water uphill from a distant well, then take a short nap on porch steps, before renewing her work. Her husband, Robert Fox, both farmed and offered time early on a Sunday morning to hear and arbitrate neighbor issues. Eugenia and her family had built their 2 story home modeled after a style then in vogue. In later years, Eugenia climbed on the roof to complete an add on kitchen...all the while carrying her last son, James. She lost her husband in 1921, garnering help over the next 14 years from that same son. She passed in 1935 and lies next to her love on a quiet hilltop in Stubb's Cemetery.
