Rosary for Candido R. Roman will be 10:00 am August 7, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Deacon Pete Schumacher reciting. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated 10:30 am following the Rosary with Father Martin as celebrant. Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery following the mass.

Candido aka Candi, Dido and Big Daddy was 94, passed away Sunday, July 23 at his home in Alamogordo. He was born March 10, 1923 in Alamogordo, to Ramon R. Roman and Natalia R. Roman. His wife Viola S. Roman of 66 years died July 27, 2014 preceded him in death. He is Survived by his Son, Solomon Roman "Sonny" Padilla, a daughter Nora Eva Carrico who died June 2017 and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Candi was born and raised in Alamogordo. He enlisted as a Marine in 1942 during World War II. He fought with his fellow Marines in the South Pacific invading several islands. After 4 years in the military he worked at Holloman Air Force Base for 31 years receiving several accommodations.

Those who would like to join with fellow relatives/friends can meet at the Church Parish Hall after the burial for a tasty lunch provided by Margo's who are celebrating 40 years in serving all Alamogordo with good Mexican Food.

Thanking all family and friends for making his last few weeks brighter and happier.
