Lois Virginia Strickland Adams, 85, of Lake Village, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village, Arkansas. Lois was born May 30, 1932 in Montrose, Arkansas to the late Walter Albert “Pete” and Elnora Lynn Strickland. Lois loved fishing and working with her flowers. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Adams, a son, Charles Dale Adams; five brothers, Vernon Sr., Buford, Charles, R.G., and Donald Strickland, and two sisters, Audrey Nita Hill and Jewel Cherry.
Lois is survived by two sons, Walter (Linda) Adams and Dwight (Lynn) Adams both of Lake Village, Arkansas; five daughters, Shirley (Randal) Carpenter of Fountain Hill, Arkansas, Linda (Randall Sr.) Harrod of Lake Village, Arkansas, Darnell (Lynn) Sherland of Lake Village, Arkansas, Lana ( Wayne) Johnson of Lake Village, Arkansas, and Eula Mae (Johnathan Shane) Hall of Lake Village, Arkansas; three sisters, Barbara Carpenter of Fountain Hill, Arkansas, Joyce Cessor of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Sandra Smith of Kelso, Arkansas, 28 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village, Arkansas from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Lake Village Assemble in Lake Village, Arkansas with Bro. Marty Tackett officiating. Interment will follow in Montrose Cemetery
