Over the years, she worked as a home health care aide with North Star Nursing Service, Lake Region Healthcare Home and Health and St. Francis Nursing Home in Breckenridge. She was also an overnight CNA at a group home and worked at Hardee’s Restaurant, both in Wahpeton.
As a child, Debbie was a member of the Barnhard 4H Club of West Ottertail County and Campfire Girls of Adam’s School. In her adult years, she was a mentor for Kinship, a member of the Underwood Lioness’, the Elizabeth Lions Club, the Aurdal Homemakers and Federated Church, where she participated in quilting, bake sales and was on many committees. She enjoyed volunteering for Hospice where she played bingo, painted nails and spent many hours visiting with patients. She also participated in Quilts of Valor and Packages for Troops. She was delighted to help her niece and nephew show pigs for 4H. Her many hobbies included card making, cross-stitch, assisting friends with projects, Zumba and Curves, baking bread, trying new recipes, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, traveling, and supporting her nieces and nephew in all of their activities.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roy and Lillian Grandlund; paternal grandparents, Walter and Esther Rose. Deborah is survived by her parents, W. Duane and Carol Rose; her sister, Pam Schauf; and her loyal dog, Ginger.
