Sandra Kathryn Henson (Spencer) passed away on August 28, 2017. She was born June 1, 1942, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Edwin Spencer and Lois Naomi (Dennis) Spencer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons Kevin and Gavin Henson, and her brothers Nils Spencer and Melvin Askew. She is survived by her husband, Harris Henson of Oklahoma City, her son David Daniel (and Teresa) O'Dell of Orlando, FL, her son Hoyt (and Teresa) Henson of Edmond, OK, and grandchildren Paige O'Dell-Eichkelkraut, Travis O'Dell, Savanna Henson, and Cierra Henson. She is also survived by her brother Jon (and Claudia) Spencer of Pryor, OK, and sisters Shirley (and Ken) Tinsley of Belle Plain, KS, Toni (and Brent) Clarkson of Mansfield, TX, Shawna Lee (and Tommy) Webb of Grandview, TX, Suzi (and Kurt) Castillo of Enid, OK, and Mary (and Jason) Sears of Webb city, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra was raised primarily in Oklahoma, and graduated from Classen High School in 1960. She was married to David O'Dell from 1959 to 1961, and had one son, David Daniel. Sandra was married to Harris Henson from 1963 until her death. They had three sons, twins Kevin and Gavin, and Hoyt. Sandra was a constant caregiver, who not only cared for her children, but also took care of aged or ill family members and friends throughout her life. She enjoyed visiting family and friends and was an avid Sooner Football fan. Sandra was a devout Christian and gave her time and talents to the Church of Christ. She worked for many years as a Florist for Penny & Irene's Flowers in Midwest City. She is remembered by us all as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who enjoyed the company of her family and friends and devoted her entire life to them all. Memorial services were held at Sunny Lane Cemetery on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 1:30 pm.
