Lucille Marian "Lucy" (Behounek) Bunn was born on Wednesday; December 30, 1953 in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Edwin and Albie (Hala) Behounek. Lucille attended Tama High School and graduated from Marshalltown Community College as a registered nurse. She married Gary Bunn on Thursday; August 12, 1993 in Marengo; Iowa County, Iowa. She was employed as a nurse at Marshalltown Intensive Care, the Marengo Hospital, and the Marengo Medical Clinic for a time. Lucy was a member of the Marengo Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed painting, playing Pepper and collecting lighthouses. She loved nature and the outdoors. Lucille Marian "Lucy" (Behounek) Bunn, age 53, passed away on Monday; March 5, 2007 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Those left to mourn her passing are: her husband: Gary. Her three sons: Chad (Deborah) McLeod of Toledo; Tama County, Iowa and Leif (Amanda) Morris of Chelsea, Iowa and Gary Jr. and wife of Edwards Air Force Base in California; two daughters: Sheri (Eric) Thomas of Atkins, Iowa and Andre' Bunn of Davenport, Iowa. Her nine grandchildren: Zach, Jarret & Kelsie Morris, Tony Werner, Gracie Thomas, Drake & Damian McLeod and Anna & Noble Bunn. Her mother: Albie Behounek of Tama, Iowa and her two sisters: Monica (Paul) Hoherz of Iowa City, Iowa and Elaine Behounek of Marengo, Iowa. Lucille was preceded in death by her father and two brothers: Bob and Larry Behounek. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday; March 7, 2007 at the Kloster Funeral Home where there will be a Scripture Service held at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday; March 8, 2007 at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Marengo, Iowa with Friar Joseph Roost officiating. Interment will be at the Marengo aka I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Marengo, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established. The Kloster Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
