Denise Alice Roberts, age 64, lifelong Lake Crystal resident, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at her home after a battle with cancer.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Lake Crystal Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m., Wednesday at the mortuary. Interment will be in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Cemetery, Butternut. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
Denise was born May 16, 1953 to Tudor and Ardella (Espeland) Price in Mankato. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1971. Denise was united in marriage to Rodney “Rod” J. Roberts on July 9, 1971 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Butternut. Denise worked at Hillcrest Health Care Center and Crystal Seasons. Her family and friends were very important to her. She loved and cared for her husband, her children and her grandchildren deeply. She was a true friend to so many, with a wonderful smile and giving nature. She enjoyed flower gardening, shopping and lunches with friends, reading, traveling, and seeing movies, plays and musicals. Denise also had a soft spot in her heart for animals and loved her pets dearly.
Denise is survived by her husband, Rod of Lake Crystal; two sons, Chris (Nikki) Roberts of Owatonna and Corey (Cindy) Roberts of Marysville, WA; three grandchildren, Elijah and Noah Roberts of Owatonna, Jennifer Cross of Seattle, WA; mother, Ardella Price of Mankato; brother, Dennis (Cheryl) Price of North Mankato; sister-in-law, Vicki (Ted) Pritchard of Lake Crystal; brother-in-law, Todd (Carolyn) Roberts of Savage; nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends who will miss her tremendously.
Denise was preceded in death by her father, Tudor Price; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James “Bunk” and Berneatha Roberts; brothers-in-law, Larry Nelson and Scott Roberts; and a nephew, Jamey Price.
