Nannie Bell "Tincy" Brown, 85, of the Shawtown community passed away 5:19 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Bobby Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Jimmy Brown, Robby Brown, James D. Hutchison, Stacy Hutchison, Taylor Williams, Elex Carter and Timmy Gantt.

Mrs. Brown was born August 28, 1932, in Obion County, daughter of the late Ancel Bright and Clara Elizabeth (Hayes) Hutchison. She married Robert "Buck" Brown September 19, 1948. He preceded her in death April 12, 2017. Mrs. Brown had been employed at the former Salant & Salant and retired from Kinkade in Union City. She was a member of Samburg Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Anne Hayes of Union City; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and JoAnn Brown of Troy; one granddaughter and her husband, Shantelle Brown Gilliam and Dr. Russ Gilliam of Martin; one grandson, Robby Brown of Washington, D.C.; four great grandchildren, Elex Carter of Martin, and William Brown, Blake Brown and Leah Beth Brown all of Washington, D.C.; five step great grandchildren, Sumner Gilliam of New Orleans, Louisiana, Sydney Gilliam of Knoxville, Cooper Gilliam of Murfreesboro, and Grayson Gilliam and Gabe Gilliam both of Martin; one sister-in-law, Joanne Calhoun of Tiptonville; and one nephew, Everett D. Hutchison of the Shawtown community.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Adron Hutchison, Henry Hutchison and Dee Hutchison.
