Billie was preceded in death almost 40 years ago by her husband, Slim (Augustus A.) Biehle. She is survived by their two sons, Jerry Biehle and his partner, Marianne Clay, of Kingsland, and Greg Biehle and his wife, Susie, of Austin; six grandchildren, Jerry’s two sons, Paul and his wife, Jennifer, and Russell and his wife, Tina, all of Lexington; Greg’s three sons, Justin, Cameron and Jackson, all of Austin, and daughter, Katherine, of El Paso; four great-grandchildren, Paul’s children, Hunter and Macy Jane, and Russell’s children, Allie and Mason, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Brookdale North Austin, Billie’s dear friend, Edna, and hospice providers for the support provided to the family and, most especially, for the love and care provided to Billie in her final days.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Billie’s five grandsons (Paul, Russell, Justin, Cameron, Jackson), great-grandson (Hunter) Honorary pallbearers are great-grandson Mason Biehle, Tom Guthrie and Tim Henke.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, from 5-8 PM, at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale, Texas. Services will be Friday at 11 AM also at Phillips and Luckey. Following the service, Billie will be laid to rest beside her husband, Slim, in I.O.O.F. cemetery in Rockdale.
Billie requested that memorials be made to Peace Lutheran, 303 Meadow Drive, Rockdale, Texas 76567 or Lexington United Methodist, 508 N. Rockdale Street, Lexington, Texas 78947.
