Lisa Meier, 57, of Zumbro Falls, Minnesota passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. She was born on July 17, 1960 to Richard and Doris (Holden) Strom in Red Wing, Minnesota.
Lisa graduated from Red Wing High School in 1978. She married Tony Meier on April 5, 1984 in Lake City. After Tony joined the Navy they moved to California where they made their home for four years. In 1988 Tony was discharged from the Navy, and they returned to Minnesota. In 2008, they moved to Zumbro Falls. Spring was Lisa’s favorite time of the year, and she couldn’t wait to get outside to plant her flowers. She loved her cats and spending time with family and friends. Most of all, Lisa enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, who she loved so dearly.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Tony Meier; son, Kyle (Mariah Nickelsen) Meier and one granddaughter, Elaina; brother, Tim (Lolita) Strom; two sisters, Heidi Lund, Mary Beth Strom; mother, Doris Strom; and mother-in-law, Joyce Meier. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Strom and father-in-law, Dale Meier.
