On May 15, 1930, George A. Juno was born in Viroqua, WI to parents Leslie & Gertrude (Helgeson)Juno. George was the oldest of three children; birth order George (1930), Frederick "Freddie" (1931) & Selma "Sally" (1933). He grew up in the Viroqua area where he attended Viroqua High School into his junior year. He finished school at Readstown High School (class of 1948), after his family moved to the Readstown area. The Juno's then moved to the Kendall area where they farmed. On July 26, 1952 George married Elizabeth (Bette) Rollins. In the early 1960's, George & Bette moved from Kendall to Madison, WI and raised a large family. George operated a gas station on University Avenue in Madison for many years and later worked for the City of Madison. He was a Christian, with many virtues that were evident by how he lived his life. On May 1, 1998 George went home to be with the Lord. He is buried in the Glendale Cemetery in Kendall, WI. next to his wife Bette and son Tom. His parents, brother Frederick and infant son "Baby Juno" are also in the Glendale Cemetery.
