Thelma Potts Hughes was a resident of Goodlettsville, Tennessee and was born on February 2, 1944 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and went to be with Jesus on August 27, 2017.
The life she led between those two dates was filled with love and care her Savior, her family, her church and her friends.
Thelma was preceded in death by her father and mother, William Everett and Margaret (Kelley) Potts; her husband, Charles Thomas Hughes and her son, Curtis Thomas Hughes.
Thelma is survived by her son, Charles (Chuck) Everett Hughes.
She is also survived by brother, Gordon (Kay) Potts and sisters Annette Perkerson, Karen (Kerry) Sharp and Marjorie (Mark) Bates and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Service will be led by Pastor Charles Anderson. Pallbearers are Brannon Wilson, Christopher Potts, Jonathan Van Dijk, Mark Bates, Kerry Sharp and Marcus Clayborne.
