Kenneth W Potter, 87, was born in Oakfield, NY on April 13, 1930. He went home to be with the Lord on August 22, 2017 after a brief illness.

Ken was pre-deceased by his parents, William and Irene Potter, and two brothers, Earl and Harold. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty (Shamp) Potter, two daughters, Linda (Bradford) and Laurie (Contreras) of Phoenix, one son, Terry, and his wife Lorna of Orlando, FL, eleven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a sister, June Wright of Batavia, NY, and many nieces and nephews.

Ken had many talents, skills, and interests. After being a fleet mechanic, he worked for NAPA auto parts for 15 years. He and his wife then owned Ken's Auto Supply in Prescott, Az. for 12 years. After retiring early, Ken and Betty volunteered at a mission hospital in Ivory Coast, Africa for one year. Upon their return, they did volunteer work with a Christian RV volunteer group for the better part of 18 years. Ken was able/privileged to use his mechanical and carpentry skills especially, as well as many others, at Christian organizations all over the country. He loved to fish, camp, travel, read, do puzzles and garden. He was a fix-it man and used his carpentry skills frequently. He was blessed to be able to do most all of these things right up to the end. Ken loved the Lord, and was faithful. His family was taught Christ-like values by his example. He was a faithful servant at Bethel Baptist Church. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 26, at Bethel Baptist Church in Prescott Valley.
