COWPENS, SC: Virginia Goode Fowler, 83, passed away on August 29, 2017, at White Oak of North Grove Park. She was married to the late Irby William Fowler and daughter of the late Robert and Edna Ramsey Goode.

Mrs. Fowler is survived by a son, Lonnie E. Fowler, Sr. (Jewel) of Gaffney; two daughters, Gwen F. Shepherd (Donald Williams) of Landrum and Sheila F. Hayes (Terry) of Chesnee; two brothers, Dennis Goode (Jo) of Cowpens and Bobby Goode (Pam) of Cowpens; a sister Coffine G. Huskey of Gaffney; 6 grandchildren, Shannon Kite, Eddie Fowler (Kelli), Brad Hayes, Summer Barnett (Brian), Haley Bolton (Clay), and Brandon Hayes (Amber); 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Irby Dean Fowler; 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Mrs. Fowler was a Homemaker, a member of Central Baptist Church of Cowpens, and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had a great love for her family, enjoyed cooking, and enjoyed sitting on her front porch with her pets.

Burial will follow in Daniel Morgan Memorial Park.
