ELKHART- Pamela Sue Gardner, 67, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday August 24, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born April 28, 1950 in Elkhart to the late George & Vivian Matis. On May 17, 2004 she married Dennis R. Gardner, he preceded her in death on April 9, 2008. Surviving is a daughter, Lisa L. Ellis; 3 grandchildren, Tina Fillio, Carissa K. Ellis and Sean Tyler Anthony Ellis all of Elkhart and 2 great-grandchildren, Parker Ellis and Avery Brooks. Pamela enjoyed cooking, doing ceramics and traveling. She worked in the Human Relations Department at ESI Meats for many years and worked at Partners Insurance. In keeping with her wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care. Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help defray expenses.
