Michael Dwight Sears passed away September 8, 2016 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 31, 1939. He grew up in Houston Texas and graduated high school from Stephen F. Austin in 1958. He served in the Air Force as an Air Conditioning and Heating Specialist. He owned his own business and continued to do air conditioning and heating work until about a year ago when his health began to fail. He married Delores Smotherman September 6, 1992 in Dallas, Texas. Michael's favorite things were traveling, fishing, dancing, and model trains. He is preceded in death by his parents, Garold Dwight and Mary Anna Sears, and sister, Mary Louise Sears. He is survived by his wife, brother, sister, daughters, sons, ;stepsons, and by eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at American Heritage. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at American Heritage, 4100 N FM 1788, Midland, Texas 79707. Arrangements entrusted to American Heritage Cemetery/Funeral Home/ Crematory.
