Sam Abraham was born in Lebanon, the oldest child of Sam and Julia Abraham. Sam was an avid sportsman and was appointed to the Mississippi Game and Fish Commission. He was President of Burkes Hunting Club for 19 years and was founder of the Coahoma County Conservation League. He was also a retired businessman, owning Clarksdale Beverage Company, a multi-county beer distributor, for many years. Mr. Abraham was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was survived at the time of his death by his widow, Eugenia Scott Abraham, six siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
