Keizer - Marie Brown, 73, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017 at home with family there, ending a long and torturous battle with cancer. Marie was born in Centralia, Il. on Sept 28, 1943. The family moved to Oregon when she was about 3 years old. She lived in the Mid Willamette Valley most of her life.

In December 1959, she met and fell for Duane Brown, a recently discharged U.S. Navy Sailor. Marie and Duane were married on Nov. 5, 1960 in Salem. From the union 3 children arrived. Then things branched out and 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren joined in.

Marie accepted Jesus as her Savior at about 19 years old. She held that belief and promised until she received her crown in glorious heaven. God and family were her passion. To family she was like a little lamb. Heaven help the person that made the mistake of crossing any of the family. If they did, in an instant she would become a lioness. She was a 1st class wife, mother, homemaker, and lady all wrapped up in her tiny body. She loved being in the church choir and reading the Bible. Psalm 91 was her favorite Scripture.

She was predeceased by her parents, one sister, and 2 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, what a day that will be. "HALLELUJAH PRAISE GOD"
