Nora Alice Mitchell, 79, of Payette passed away August 23, 2017 in Weiser.

Nora Alice Mitchell, 79, passed away on August 23, 2017, in the Weiser Memorial Hospital. She was surrounded by loved ones.

Nora was born December 31, 1937, in Weiser, Idaho, to Howard & Dora Brechbiel, on her mother's birthday. She was the third of four children. She lived with her family in Weiser in the family home until she met and married the love of her life, George Mitchell. They were married June 3, 1956. They had six children who they loved and raised to live the ranch life including the love of the land and nature. As Nora always said, she had one rose among a patch of onions, meaning they had one daughter and five sons. George and Nora lived in New Plymouth, ID, until they moved and made the family home in Midvale, ID. Nora loved sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, painting, and any other kind of handiwork. Above all, she loved being a wife, mom, and grandmother. The family has an amazing amount of items that she has made over the years to remember her by.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Dora Brechbiel, her husband, George, brother Lloyd Brechbiel, sister Velma Miller, and an infant daughter.

Nora is survived by her children; Jerald of Payette, ID, and children Cheri, Daniel, Megan, Kaycee, Sheena, and Ty: Gary (Rose) of Payette, ID, and children Autumn, Amber, and Andrea: Chris (Teresa) of Palouse, WA, and children Annie, Misty, Eric, and Wyatt: Rob of Boise, ID, and son Greg: Sandy (Tom) Cada of Cambridge, ID and children Billie and Jesse: Wes (Salley) of Midvale, ID, and children Chelsey, Halie, Shyann, Chip, Paydon, and Lauryn. She had 19 1/2 great grandchildren. She has multiple grandchildren-in-law that she is leaving behind. There are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and multiple other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Memorial donations can be made to either the Midvale Fire and Ambulance Department or the Payette County Paramedics.
