Floyd E. "Brub" Long, Jr., age 84 formerly of Lake Street, Hammondsport, NY passed away on Monday August, 28, 2017 at home.

He was born April 28, 1933 in Livonia, NY the son of Floyd E. and Nellie (DeGraff) Long Sr. 

Floyd served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55 and returned to Hammondsport where he worked over 30 years at the Taylor Wine Company as a plant manager. He married Marjorie S. Shill on August 18, 1961. After living over 50 years on Lake Street, he moved to his farm to help his daughter care for their horses. He was an avid gunsmith and well known for his meticulous work and also invented and manufactured a shooting stick for his company Longshot Specialties. Floyd was a member of the Bath Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting, horseback riding, and boating with his family.

Floyd was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie and a sister Carolyn Clemens.

His is survived by his daughter, Andrea Long; sons Vincent S. Long and David (Kasi) Long; grandchildren, Megan Lee, Vincent M. Long, Chelsea Collett, Jami Long, Mitchell Long; two great grandchildren, Meghan and Abigail; sister, Grace Duffy and sister-in-law, Georgia Shill.

Funeral arrangements are with LaMarche Funeral Home, Hammondsport, NY. A private graveside service will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
