Helen J. Pitcher, 85, of Milan, passed away Sunday August 27, 2017 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Services will be 1:00pm Sunday September 3, 2017 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be 11:00am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgington Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Trinity Bible Missionary Church, Milan.

Helen was born on April 22, 1932 in Spirit Lake, IA, the daughter of George and Stella Mae (Love) Brown. She married Isaac Ledbetter. She later married William Pitcher on May 25, 1962 in Iowa.

She had been a homemaker and had previously cleaned homes. Helen was a member of Trinity Bible Missionary Church, Milan. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting and genealogy.

Survivors include her daughters, Vickie (Daryl) Allen, Reynolds, Kayleen (Chuck) Anderson, Kingston, Ill., Debbie (Rick) Court, Chester, Va.; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, George and Stella; siblings, John Brown, Deloris Hickle, Suzanna Brown, Wilbur Brown, Beatrice Jensen, Betty Bunzy; a granddaughter, Julie Johnson and a grandson, Michael Wallarab.
