She was born on September 23, 1924 in Suffolk, Virginia to Dr. Japheth E. Rawls and Emma Holland Rawls.
She graduated from Suffolk High School in 1942 and from Elon College in 1946 with a degree in biology. She was a member of Mebane United Methodist Church for 66 years where she was a faithful member of the Workers Bible Sunday School Class, the Morning Glories Bible Study, and was an active member of United Methodist Women.
She delivered Meals on Wheels for over 30 years and volunteered with local American Red Cross blood drives. She was a member of the Alamance Medical Auxiliary and the Mebane Historical Society. She was an avid golfer who enjoyed many years of playing golf with a close-knit group of friends.
The greatest joy of her life was spending time with her large family. Her strong, sweet spirit, unselfish love and wonderful sense of humor were a gift to all who knew and loved her.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George Minson Bullard, her parents and her four sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas P. Bullard, II (Cathy), and George M, Bullard, Jr.; daughters, Susie B. Sanford (Ronnie), Marcella B. Bunnell (Randy), and Ann B. Seibert (Scott); grandchildren, Perry Bullard (Catherine), Charles Bullard, David Bunnell (Hailey), Suzanne Bunnell McNichol (Matt), Clark and Elizabeth Sanford, Bryan and Marcella Seibert; and great-grandchildren, Thomas and Andrew Bullard and Luke McNichol.
Margaret will leave a huge void in everyone's life that she touched.
